There are several bowling alleys in Houston that offer the fun of this classic indoor sport, and you can bowl individually or join a league. Check out some of the best places around town where you can make a strike while having fun late into the night.

Palace Lanes has been a staple for families for years. This is a basic bowling alley without the newer innovations some others have to remain relevant to a younger generation. At Palace Lanes, you will find nothing but bowling and a variety of people who come to enjoy it from leagues to families to couples. For late-night bowling, Palace Lanes is open until midnight Sundays through Thursdays and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Armadilla Lanes has two locations in the Houston area, one in Houston and one in Pasadena. If you like to stay out late, Armadilla Lanes is the place to go on a Friday or Saturday night when it is open until 2 a.m. Other nights it is only open until 10 p.m. Make a trip out on Saturday nights when Armadilla Lanes hosts Music ‘N Bowl. For only $15 per person from 11 p.m. until closing, you get shoe rental, unlimited bowling and a bowling ball rental. During this time, music will be playing to get you pumped up for your bowling game.

Del-Mar Lanes is located near Houston ISD’s Del-Mar stadium. This bowling alley has a 20-year history of hosting parties for families and bowling leagues. On Fridays and Saturdays, you can bowl until midnight. If you will be bowling with up to five people, take advantage of the bowling packages that let you rent a lane for up to two hours and includes shoes and ball rentals, up to five soft drinks and bumpers. It’s only $60 for two hours after 5 p.m. You can also join seasonal leagues that bowl here.

Emerald Bowl is the home to the $1.99 game, which it offers all day on Sundays. Sundays through Thursdays, you can bowl here until midnight, but the hours last until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Choose from 40 bowling lanes, including lanes with bumpers for beginners and kids. If you are into team bowling, try one of the leagues that Emerald Bowl hosts. If you plan on bowling late at night, this bowling alley features a cocktail lounge in addition to its snack bar to satisfy your need for something more than the sodas and pizza from the snack bar.

Copperfield Bowling Center recently renovated its facility. If you are a smoker and tired of being turned out of places for your habit, you can go to Copperfield Bowling Center during the evenings. For non-smokers, the facility offers exclusively non-smoking hours until 5:30 p.m. Sundays through Fridays and all day on Saturdays. For late-night bowling, this alley is open until 11 p.m. every night expect on Fridays and Saturdays when it is open until 1 a.m. For a laid-back, old-school type of bowling alley, Copperfield Bowling Center will fulfill your needs.
