Houston, TX 77024
Date: Jan. 18, 2015
Houston’s premiere athletic event, the Chevron Houston Marathon, is scheduled for Sunday, January 18, 2015. The 2015 edition marks the 43rd running of this annual event and it continues to attract more participants each year. Runners can take part in the full marathon if they wish, or a shorter, half marathon if they prefer. Chevron Houston Marathon is one of the few marathons in the United States that is scheduled during what is normally the coldest time of year. It is also relatively easy compared to many other marathons due to the flat terrain common to the area, as many runners use the Houston Marathon as a warm-up qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
