In recent years, cupcakes have made a major comeback, thanks in part to reality shows like Cupcake Wars and Cake Boss. Due to the recent cupcake craze, there are plenty of places to find gourmet cupcakes in H-Town, but not every cupcake is created the same. The best cupcakes in Houston are made from the finest fresh ingredients in a variety of flavors for every palette. — Amber Hilton

Crave Cupcakes

1151-06 Uptown Park Boulevard
Houston, TX 77056
5600 Kirby Drive
Houston, TX 77005
(713) 622-7283

With two locations owned by Texas natives, Crave Cupcakes is easily one of the best cupcake bakeries in all of Houston. Only the best ingredients are used to craft the creamy frostings and mouthwatering cupcakes at Crave, including luscious chocolates from Europe, seasonal fruits from Napa Valley, and pure Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar. There are no preservatives or hydrogenated oils in Crave cupcakes, which means you’ll want to enjoy them while they’re fresh; however, this shouldn’t be a problem, as we have a hard time making it home from the bakery without devouring at least one in the car. The bakers at Crave help ensure freshness as well, by baking small batches throughout the day rather than large batches in the morning. The cupcake menu changes daily and seasonally, but you can check out a weekly menu on the Crave website to help you plan your order. We highly recommend the red velvet and white chocolate macadamia options, washed down with a cup of Crave coffee. Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
