Whether you’re between flights, arrived too early or just need a break before the long drive home, knowing which airport bars serve up the best libations is key. Along with the duty-free shops and chain restaurants, there are a few friendly bars to drop into. Some of these spots even allow travelers to catch their favorite sports teams on the big screen televisions. These are the top five airport bars to unwind at in Houston.

2800 N. Terminal Road
Houston, Texas 77032
(281) 230-3100

Walk up to this sidewalk bar for a variety of wine, beer and liquor. Gather with fellow travelers near gates 43 to 45 in Terminal C at Houston’s Intercontinental Airport Houston. While the seating is sparse, the service is quick and friendly. This bar offers just enough of what it needs to in this setting and none of what it doesn’t. The food court is nearby if one is looking for more than just a barstool to rest on between flights.

Flite 281 Spirits + Bistro
Intercontinental Airport Houston Terminal A

Lefty’s Lonestar Grill

This bar is one of the few favorites in Intercontinental Airport Houston’s Terminal D near gates 1 through 6. Lefty’s Lonestar Grill gives you the traditional sports bar and pub feel with a variety of local and imported beers, cocktails and American fare on the menu. Lefty’s also offers the to-go grill nearby if you’re just running through quickly between flights.
