When the NBA Playoffs start April 15, the Rockets will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round in a series that feature two of the NBA’s leading MVP candidates in James Harden and Russell Westbrook.
The Rockets clinched the third seed in the West after beating Denver on Wednesday, and the Thunder became locked into the six-seed once the Clippers beat San Antonio.
Houston won 3-of-4 meetings between the two teams in the regular season, winning both games at Toyota Center while splitting two games at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
It’s the second time the Rockets will face Oklahoma City in the postseason since the team moved from Seattle. The Thunder beat the Rockets in six games in the first round of the 2013 playoffs, Harden’s first season with the Rockets.
Game one will be at Toyota Center on April 15 or 16, the rest of the series schedule will be announced at the conclusion of the regular season Wednesday night.
