Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – Clemson Quarterback Deshaun Watson joined MaD Radio on Radio Row and discussed his coming NFL future. With the draft on the horizon, the critiques have come out. Among them are questions about his size, pocket presence and interception rate.

“I feel like I’m the type of player that can do it all… If you want to say I can’t play in the pocket then just watch the National Championship game. Pretty much wasn’t a lot of scrambling and making throws from the pocket against a very very good team. So, all that stuff is kind of noise, they have to create something to talk about. I just kind of focus on team,” Watson said. “I take ownership for all the interceptions. Sometimes they’re kind of out of my control but I take ownership. I’m the one that’s touching the ball and controlling where the ball goes.”

The Draft is April 27th in Philadelphia. Until then, Deshaun is continuing his training to stay in shape and learning what he can before finding himself on an NFL team.

“I’ve just been working hard out in southern California training… Perfecting my craft, become a professional, just trying to learn as much as I can before I’m on a team,” Deshaun said.

Watson admitted that his time on Radio Row this week was his first time in Houston. The Texans could possibly be shopping for a quarterback in April. Deshaun said he would be excited to go to any team.
