Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – After capping off the month of January with a win, the Houston Rockets will start February off against Dwight Howard and the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night.

“I’m looking forward to that,” Clint Capela said when asked about facing his former mentor in Howard. “It’s always a good challenge, it was good to go against DeMarcus (Cousins), now it’s going to be Dwight and I’m looking forward to it.”

After spending a few seasons backing up Howard, Capela is looking forward to squaring off against his former teammate.

“It’s wired but at the same time it’s exciting to go against (Howard) in an official game so I’m really excited,” Capela said.

In the first matchup with the Hawks earlier in the year, the Rockets were on the losing end of an 112-93 score.

Howard against his former team put up a double-double as he scored 20 points (8/10 shooting) and grabbed 15 rebounds.

Since that game, the Rockets went on a roll and picked up wins over the San Antonio spurs and the Golden State Warriors and now sit with the third seed in the Western conference.

The Rockets are a much different team than the one that Howard saw earlier in the season and no doubt the team will be looking for a little bit of redemption on Thursday.
