Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – This Sunday’s regular season finale against the Tennessee Titans means absolutely nothing. Had the Titans of won last week it would have set up a do or die game in Tennessee for the Texans, win and they are in the playoffs.

All of that drama was rendered moot when the Jacksonville Jaguars beat down the Titans 38-17.

Now regardless of a win or a loss, this Sunday the Houston Texans are locked into they fourth seed.

While there is nothing to be gained from a playoff standpoint against the Titans, there is pride on the line.

With a win, they’ll finish with 10 wins which is a significant milestone in Texans history. If they are able to get the win, it will only be the third time in franchise history that the Texans will have finished with 10 or more wins.

“A 10-win season is hard to come by, it’s hard to accomplish,” Left tackle Duane Brown said. “Especially considering everything we went through this year, the ups and downs, the adversity we’ve faced. To be able to get 10 wins and to be able to finish the season undefeated in our division, it means a lot.”
