Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – Key players were back at practice for the Texans Wednesday, however the team’s 1,000-yard rusher Lamar Miller was not.

Going into the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miller all week was listed as a limited participant with ankle and rib injuries. On Sunday Miller had 22 carries but was not able to break many long runs as he was only able to finish with 63 yards on the ground. With a short week, Miller’s availability for Saturday might be in question.

Additionally for the offense, Tight End C.J. Fiedorowicz was back, he had been in concussion protocol along with Offensive Lineman Jeff Allen who also practiced.

On the defensive side of the ball, Linebackers Whitney Mercilus and John Simon both were back on the field. Mercilus has been nursing a back problem and Simon a chest injury.

In the secondary, Defensive Back Johnathan Joseph returned from an injury to his ribs. Also back at practice for the defense was Safety Don Jones who had been out due to illness.
