HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – The Cincinnati Bengals will not be in the AFC playoffs for the first time in the last five seasons after being eliminated with their 24-20 loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Even with their elimination the Bengals are well aware that they can make things difficult for the playoff hopes of the Houston Texans, their opponent at NRG Stadium on Sunday.

“We’re going to do whatever we can to win these last two,” Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton said. “We’re playing a really good defense and a good team in the Texans. They have a lot to play for right now. We know the task that we’ve got in front of us so we got to come out and play our best.”

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis echoed Dalton’s statements and made it adamant that his team would be ready to play on Saturday and not simply for the role of playing spoiler for the playoff hopes of the Texans.

“The biggest motivation is winning,” Lewis said. “This is their profession and what should drive (Bengals players) ”
