Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Texans are feeling rested, fresh and confident after the bye week. The main focus now is winning on the road. Four of their next five games are away from Houston beginning with Sunday’s Week 10 matchup at Jacksonville.

“Very important. Very important to get on track, you know get our first win on the road… Big division opponent,” Offensive Lineman Duane Brown said.

The Jaguars are just (2-6) on the season. One of their wins comes against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4. The other is a victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 6.

There are just two teams in the NFL with a worse interception rate than Houston, and one of them is in Jacksonville. Also, the Jaguars are 28th in the league in passing yards per play and the Texans are dead last. For Duane Brown, busting out of the offensive slump is about how Houston comes out of the gate.

“I think starting fast, you know bringing a lot of energy. I think that’s been our achilles heel this season… Having energy and starting fast, everything else will fall into place.”

That has been a common theme in the locker room at NRG Stadium this week. Wide Receiver DeAndre Hopkins is also looking to make it happen. In his 6 career games against the Jaguars, DeAndre has 27 receptions for 375 yards and two touchdowns.

“I mean every time we start fast it usually turns out in our favor. So that’s going to be something that we also focus on.”

The Texans will look for that elusive first road win Sunday in Jacksonville. The Jaguars have lost 3 games in a row for the second time this season. Elsewhere in the AFC South, the Titans host the Packers and the Colts have a bye.
