Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – Houston Texans safety Quintin Demps, Friday for the second straight day was able to take part in practice. Demps has been sidelined since leaving the Minnesota Vikings with a calf injury in week four.

The depth at safety has also taken a hit the past couple of weeks with backups rookie K.J. Dillon, Kurtis Drummond being placed on IR. Corey Moore who stepped up in Demps absence was put in the league’s concussion protocol during Monday’s game, but he did return to practice Friday.

It is still up in the air if Demps will make a return this Sunday, but Head coach Bill O’Brien did leave the door open.

“We’ll have to make a determination on Sunday,” O’Brien said of Demps on Friday.

This is a short week for the team after coming off Monday night’s game. They will only have two official practices, with only a Saturday walkthrough remaining.
