HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – Texans Head Coach Bill O’Brien said that Texans linebacker Brian Cushing suffered a sprained MCL in Sunday’s game against the Bears.
“Brian will be back sooner rather than later,” said O’Brien. “He’s a guy that’s obviously played a long time. He knows exactly what’s wrong and he’ll work very hard to get back as quickly as he can.
“I think he’ll be fine,” concluded O’Brien. “But he won’t be in there for a bit.”
O’Brien also ruled out Texans left tackle Duane Brown for the Texans game Sunday against the Chiefs. He tore his quadriceps in the Texans regular season finale last year against Jacksonville, and has yet to return from the injury.
