Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans have waived offensive lineman David Quessenberry it is being reported by multiple outlets. The Texans have designated him with the “Non-Football Injury” for the reason for his release.

Quessenberry, a 6th round draft pick in the 2013 NFL Draft was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma before the 2014 season could begin. Quessenberry fought off the cancer and was cleared to come back with the disease in remission before the 2015 season, but couldn’t quite get his stamina and strength to where it was and was not on the Houston Texans 53-man roster.

Tania Ganguli of ESPN has reported the Texans want Quessenberry as part of the organization but don’t see him being ready this year.
