Over the past few days, the Rockets have had to deal with reports of Dwight Howard’s unhappiness, James Harden and Howard don’t get along, Ty Lawson is looking to be traded, Terrence Jones could be gone and the list goes on and on.

Amidst of all the reports, instead of fracturing and splitting and losing more games, the Rockets have reeled off back to back wins.

“It brought them together,” J.B. Bickerstaff said, “all the trade rumors, this that and the third, it brought the guys together.”

The team does feel like it is starting to come together. The offense is playing a lot quicker, moving the ball better with a lot less straight isolation plays. On defense, the guys are playing with a lot more communication on the court. As a whole, the team is flowing much better.

“We know what we have in this locker room,” Trevor Ariza said, “we know our goals, and everything else doesn’t matter.”

People may report this and that but the players and coaching staff are the only ones that actually know what is really going on.

“That’s one thing that we have been talking about in the locker room, is not allowing the noise, the distractions to really affect who we are and what we are trying to accomplish as a team,” Dwight Howard said.

The media may be reporting that the Rockets do not like each other and everyone is seemingly on the trade block. But at least for the moment, the team seems to be more together than ever.
