HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – Two of the best players on the Texans defense missed practice Wednesday.

J.J. Watt missed with what Bill O’Brien said, and Watt later confirmed, was a minor back issue. O’Brien and Watt both said they expected Watt to be out there Sunday against the Titans.

Jadeveon Clowney missed practice with an illness which O’Brien described as a “24-hour bug.”

Brandon Brooke (toe), Derek Newton (toe), and Cecil Shorts (hamstring) were offensive starters who didn’t practice Wednesday. Kareem Jackson (ankle) and Benardrick McKinney (concussion) both missed practice with the issues that forced them to miss Sunday’s loss to the Dolphins.
