In this episode of Booker T’s Heated Conversations podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer spoke with UFC fighter Derrick Lewis and Houston Rocket’s baller Dwight Howard.

In his free-flowing chat with the MMA star, Booker and Lewis bonded over their checkered pasts, including how Lewis’ boxing career was destroyed before it got started when he landed himself in prison behind an aggravated assault charge.

Next, Booker sat down with Dwight Howard, who opened up about how his strict upbringing still influences him today. Howard also spoke about how difficult it was for him to leave the Orlando Magic after making his home in Florida for some many years.

Howard set the record straight about his brief and contentious time with the Los Angeles Lakers. Howard said that he felt he gave everything he had, but his injuries and his incompatibility with the team meant that it just wasn’t a good fit. And on his move to the Houston Rockets, Superman put it simply: “I didn’t run away from L.A., I ran to Houston.” Finally, Howard expounded about the aims of his Breathe Again foundation and how it differs from more polarizing initiatives like Black Lives Matter.
