HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – The Suns withstood a furious Houston rally to defeat the Rockets on Saturday night 117-102.
Phoenix had as much as a 15-point lead early in the fourth quarter, only to see the Rockets go on a 14-4 run to cut the lead to five, with the score 105-100 on a Trevor Ariza three-pointer with 5:32 left.
However, after that, the Rockets wouldn’t score until the final minute of regulation. By that time, the Suns had built their lead back up to double digits.
Donatas Motiejunas led a balanced scoring attack with 18 points and six assists. Trevor Ariza had 15 points with 12 rebounds. Six Rockets scored in double figures.
