HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – Multiple reports say the Texans have traded Ryan Fitzpatrick to the Jets for a late-round conditional draft pick.

Fitzpatrick finished last season, his only one with the Texans, with 17 touchdown passes to eight interceptions in 12 games, all starts. He completed just over 63 percent of his passes for 2,483 yards.

In between, he lost his starting job to Ryan Mallett, got it back when Mallett’s season ended with a pectoral injury, then broke his leg to end his season in a Week 15 loss to the Colts.

The Texans have reshuffled their quarterback depth chart this offseason. Ryan Mallett was re-signed. The Texans are clearly interested in trying to bring Brian Hoyer in. Case Keenum was traded to the Rams on Tuesday.

Now, it looks like Fitzpatrick is headed to the Big Apple.
