(CBS HOUSTON) –  Time’s ticking on Dwight Howard to get back to where he wants to be before the playoffs.

Still, Rockets GM Daryl Morey feels good about the Houston big man’s progression from a knee injury.

“He’s on the original schedule, 7-8 weeks out from when he went out,” Morey said on Thursday’s Dan Le Batard Show. “So that puts him about three weeks out from here.”

Three weeks from Thursday would give Howard 11 games before the postseason to get back up to speed. Howard had a bone marrow aspirate injection on February 4. He has missed 29 games so far with his different ailments this season.

Morey also responded to Steve Kerr’s comments that Morey is a “one-man campaign for James Harden” as the Warriors are focused on winning.

“I would say that myself and James are only focused on winning the championship, so I think that’s a bit of a straw-man argument he set up,” Morey said on the show.
