HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – James Harden came through when it mattered most.

Harden had an off night overall scoring the ball, finishing with 15 points on 4-of-15 shooting, but scored the three points to put the Rockets ahead 98-95 with 27 seconds left as Houston squeaked a 102-98 win out over the Nets.

Houston had fought back from a fourth-quarter deficit of eight points to tie it 95-95 with 1:11 remaining after Pat Beverley hit a three.

Even after Harden’s points, the Nets still had an opportunity to tie. With the Rockets up 100-97, Joe Johnson was fouled by Josh Smith on an attempted three. However, after further review, Johnson’s foot was on the line.

Harden also dished out 12 assists to go along with his clutch scoring late. Meanwhile, his teammates certainly contributed until the late stages. Terrence Jones scored a season-high 26 points to go along with 12 rebounds. Trevor Ariza had 20 points, with five three-pointers.
