HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – James Harden and Pat Beverley will both play for the Rockets when they play the Nets on Friday night.
Kevin McHale said that both will be in the starting lineup, barring any last-minute changes. Harden had sprained his ankle in the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s win over the Clippers, while Beverley had missed the Rockets’ last two games with the flu.
“They both went through shootaround today,” McHale said. “Pat is still probably not at a hundred percent, so we’ll try to keep his minutes down, but we’ll get him back out there tonight.”
As for Harden, there will be no limitations.
“He’s a very resilient guy, a tough guy,” McHale said of Harden. “I think (the ankle’s) sore. If I see him hobbling out there, we’ll be extra careful, but he seemed to be good at shootaround and ready to go.”
