Houston (CBS Houston) – Arian Foster carried the ball just eight times for six yards in Houston’s 23-17 win over Buffalo. After missing last week’s game against the Giants with a hamstring injury, Foster was limited and ineffective on the ground Sunday.
“I just wasn’t 100 percent healthy out there today,” Foster said. “I didn’t feel 100% myself.”
In the first half, he alternated series with Alfred Blue, but as the game went on Blue’s carries increased. Despite a rough day on the ground, Foster was able to help via the passing game. He hauled in seven catches for 55 yards including a big first down late to help drain the clock.
“I got in on some third downs at the end of the game just to try and help out,” Foster said. “I’m glad I could make a play when my number was called.”
He was limited all week but was able to practice. Foster’s workload was the subject of discussion over the last couple of weeks. Through the Texans’ first two games Foster carried the ball a league leading 55 times.
