Houston (CBS Houston) – The list of 2013 draft picks still with the Texans is dwindling. Friday the the team released 2013 4th-round pick OLB Trevardo Williams. He was moved to the active roster from the PUP list yesterday, but it was short lived.

“I’m sad to see Trevardo go,” Ryan Griffin, who played with Williams at Uconn, said. “He never really got a chance to show what he can do, but hope for the best.”

He struggled to stay healthy, spending the 2013 season on injured reserve. Williams, like Sam Montgomery and Brennan Williams, never took a regular season snap for the Texans.

“Anytime you see a brother, somebody that you came in with it’s sad,” fellow 2013 draftee D.J. Swearinger said. “Good luck with whatever he got (sic) going on and I hope that he gets picked up.
