BY The Associated Press (AP)- No. 9 Texas A&M (8-2, 4-2 SEC) at No. 18 LSU (7-3, 3-3), 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS)

Line: LSU by 4½.

Series record: LSU leads 28-20-3.

Both teams are out of contention for the SEC title but still aim to maximize their bowl possibilities. Texas A&M also seeks a school-record 11th-straight road win, while LSU aims to avoid its first four-loss regular season since 2008 and keep alive a chance to help coach Les Miles make LSU history with a fourth straight 10-win season.

Prolific Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel against LSU’s embattled defense, which has looked vulnerable against some of the SEC’s better offenses. Manziel already has five games this season in which he’s racked up 400-plus yards of total offense.

Texas A&M: WR Mike Evans, who is 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, is Manziel’s favorite target and the only SEC receiver to have more than 225 yards receiving in a game twice this season (287 vs. Auburn, 279 vs. Alabama).

LSU: WR-KR Odell Beckham also has been named a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award. He has 51 receptions for 1,051 yards and eight receiving touchdowns, and ranks third nationally with 24 catches for 20 or more yards.

Texas A&M, which has visited LSU 33 previous times, is making its first appearance in Tiger Stadium since the 1994 season opener. … LSU RB Jeremy Hill ranks second in yards rushing per game with 107.1. … The Aggies have not played on the road since their victory at Mississippi more than a month ago (Oct. 12). … LSU QB Zach Mettenberger has 2,733 yards passing and is the first quarterback in LSU history with more than 2,500 yards passing in consecutive seasons. He needs 93 yards to surpass Matt Mauck for third most yards in a season in school history. … Manziel has 3,313 yards passing and 611 yards rushing. He needs 393 yards passing to match his total from last season, when he won the Heisman Trophy. … … Since Miles became coach in 2005, LSU is 22-1 following a loss. The only time LSU has lost back-to-back games under Miles was in 2008. … Texas A&M has scored 40 or more in 13 straight games and has accumulated 500 or more total yards in nine straight.
