Houston (CBS Houston)– The highly anticipated 2013-14 Houston Rockets season is kicking off October 30 at Toyota Center.

With the addition of NBA superstar Dwight Howard joining James Harden and the Rockets this season most expect it to be a special run beginning with the Charlotte Bobcats Wednesday at 7pm.

Opening tickets are still available starting at only $25.

Sunday October 27, the team will host an Open Practice where if you want to watch what this franchise has been working on throughout the offseason, admission is free.  The first 500 guests to bring four or more non-perishable food items will receive an autograph voucher for the post-practice player autograph session.

And if running for a good cause is your thing, the 12th Annual Rockets Run is Saturday, Nov. 9 benefiting the Lone Star Veterans Association.
