Houston (CBS Houston) – Randy Bullock’s NFL career is off to a rocky start. The 2012, 4th round pick is one of five on field goal attempts through his first two games. Complicating the situation, Bullock’s only made field goal was a game winner in San Diego.

For a lot of kickers, a two game stretch with four missed field goals would mean a pink slip but Gary Kubiak is standing by Bullock.

“We’re going to stand behind him and like I said, he’s got a job to do and he’s responsible for his job but we’re going to give him a lot of help.” Kubiak said at his weekly Monday press conference.

After Bullock missed a 46-yard attempt that would have ended the Texans 30-24 victory over the Titans, both Kubiak and Texans Owner Bob McNair told Bullock to keep his head up.

“Of the four misses, three of them are (from) 50 yards, so it’s not like I’m giving him chip shots.” Kubiak continued, “He’s got to make that kick to end the game yesterday. I mean that’s his job”
