Sunday, the Red Sox traded third baseman Kevin Youkilis to the White Sox for pitcher Zach Stewart and infielder Brent Lillibridge. With his departure, David Ortiz is now the final member of the 2004 Red Sox team that won the organization’s first World Series title in 86 years.

Youkilis tripled in his final at bat for the Sawx, receiving a standing ovation from the Fenway faithful for a fitting farewell. Interesting, he entered the Boston sports landscape in an noteworthy fashion as well.
