Attendance is down across baseball, but there are just a few national league ballclubs who’ve had as tough a time putting fans in the stands as the Astros. According to CNBC’s Darren Rovell, attendance at Minute Maid Park, when compared to the first 10 games last year, is down 11.1 percent.
Only the Brewers, Dodgers and Cubs have seen a greater decline from 2010 to 2011. And those three clubs all are drawing an average of more than 32,000 fans per game this season. The Astros, off to a 6-11 start, are averaging 24,824 fans per game.
