Labor Day weekend is a three-day weekend which also brings with it the end of summer. This holiday weekend is quite often spent on home and garden projects preparing for the fall, but many are also looking to have one last run of fun before saying goodbye to summer. Whether you are visiting Houston for the Labor Day holiday or just looking for places to go and things to do, these top five events and attractions can take the work out of planning your weekend.

Start the day slow with Yoga, then ease on into a kayak. Hit the trails for bike riding and walking and cool off at the Mist Tree or Gateway Fountain. Pick your seats carefully to make sure that Prairie View fans sit on the west side of the stadium and TSU fans on the east. Parking is $10 and tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com. Whet your whistle Labor Day weekend in Galveston at the BrewMasters Craft Beer Festival, the largest craft beer festival in Texas. For adults only, ticket prices vary. But if you want to taste craft beer in Texas and meet the people who create it, it’s no work at all to head over to Galveston Island. Taste, test, attend seminars about brewing, eat and shop.
