Texas AG: Counties Should Wait To Issue Marriage Licenses If Gay Marriage Is Legalized

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is urging county clerks to not immediately start issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples if the U.S. Supreme Court rules that gay marriage is legal.

Abbott: Court Ruling Not Total Loss For Texas Case

Attorney General Gregg Abbott says that although the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on health care went against Texas, it is still a victory for individual liberty and states’ rights.
