It is only day two of training camp, but Bill O’Brien has already shown he can coach this team. Unfortunately for any of us looking for quotable moments, these players are in lock step with […]
Bill O’Brien looked less than enthused. After a shotgun snap slipped through starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick’s hands, crashing off his facemask and onto the turf during the first team session of Day 2 of training […]
Gregg Rosenthal joined Matt Hammond and Matt Murphy filling in on The B-Straw & Pauly G Show. He said that the Texans are doing their best to keep details under wrap with the Andre Johnson situation. Rosenthal thinks Johnson is probably upset about several things that we don’t really know about at this point. He thinks due to his high salary, Johnson will not be a Texan after this season. He also weighed in on the Ray Rice suspension and the looming punishment for Jim Irsay.
Hub Arkush, chicagofootball.com, joined MaD Radio to talk all things NFL. He feels that it really doesn’t matter where the NFL draft is so it really doesn’t matter if they move where they hold it. Arkush is confused by Andre Johnson’s recent behavior and really cannot see him going elsewhere so it should get resolved. He thinks that the best case scenario when it comes to Fitzpatrick is that he somehow becomes a much better quarterback than he has been so far. He really thought Fitzpatrick was just being brought on as a backup and the quarterback situation is the only problem he has with the way the team is right now. He thinks Bill O’Brien is the right guy to coach the Texans but he isn’t sure if he has enough to work with to turn the team around. Arkush thinks Johnny Manziel has a tough road ahead of him at quarterback but that he will be fun to watch.
John McClain joined Mad Radio and they talked about limiting Ryan Fitzpatrick’s turnovers, is Arian Foster the most important player on the Texans, what role Alfred Blue will have in the offense, does Brooks Reed move to inside linebacker permanently, the ruling on Jimmy Graham and will Tom Savage get any meaningful reps in the preseason?

Former Texans quarterback Sage Rosenfels joined Mad Radio and they talked about the difference between Bill O’Brien’s offense and Gary Kubiak’s, his second career in the media as well as his thoughts on Ryan Fitzpatrick and Andre Johnson’s holdout.
Former Pro Bowl Guard for the Kansas City Chiefs Will Shields joined Mad Radio and they discussed the Andre Johnson situation, players adjusting to a new coaching staff, his thoughts on Ryan Fitzpatrick and his football camp coming up in July in Galveston.
Matt Segal, WNSR Nashville, joined The B-Straw & Pauly G Show to discuss the Tennessee Titans. He discussed Jake Locker and how his injuries have impacted the team and may continue to do so if he were to have another pop up this season. Segal discussed the less than optimal receiver situation and how that causes the team to rely on their running game. He said that outside of Jake Locker, Bernard Pollard is the most important player on the Titans. Segal says we can expect a “great beard” from Ryan Fitzpatrick but he’s not sure how much else.
