B-Straw and Pauly G gas up the car and rip open the sunflower seeds for another road trip. On this trip, the guys cruise west to Fresno, California before finishing the trip in Pittsburgh. Joining the hosts on their first stop is B.J. Antiola from the Fresno Bee, who reports on quarterback Derrek Carr’s pro day. According to Antiola, Carr’s numerous broken school records do not overcome the inconsistencies he has shown on game film, which may hurt his draft status. On their final stop of the trip, the guys are joined by KDKA Pittsburg’s Pat Bostick. Pat is the color commentator of Pittsburgh Panthers football and has a clear idea of how quarterback Tom Savage will fit into the NFL. Bostick states that Savage is a tough quarterback that makes throws under duress; a skill every quarterback must possess at the NFL level.
Brien and Paul fill up their gas tank and head east to Baton Rouge and Athens. Joining them on their first stop is Tommy Krysan from Pelican Sports Network. Tommy gives an in-depth summary of LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger’s pro-day today. Mettenberger suffered a torn ACL during the 2013 season and according to Tommy, he still has not fully recovered from surgery. Dan Mathews from Football.com joins the boys on their last stop in Athens to talk about Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray and the status of his recovery, after suffering the same injury as Mettenberger last season. Dan says Murray is having a rapid recovery and will be able to fully participate in his pro-day next week.
B-Straw and Pauly G hit the the road and head up to College Station and Louisville to get the scoop on big stories happening around the nation. Joining them on their first stop in College Station is Sports Radio 610′s own Patrick Crayton, who highlighted Johnny Manziel’s impressive performance in his pro-day earlier today.
