4 Reasons J.J. Watt Should Be NFL MVP

J.J. Watt is the undisputed AFC/NFL/World Defensive Player of the year. He’s so good I believe he won a Gold Glove Award for the Astros (HE DOESN’T EVEN PLAY BASEBALL!) As Texans defensive end J.J. Watt continues his assault on both the franchise and league record book, not to mention opposing quarterbacks, the conversation both in Houston and nationally has turned to whether or not Watt can become the first defensive player in 28 years to take home NFL MVP honors. Only twice in the 57-year history of the AP NFL MVP award has a defensive player been victorious: Giant’s linebacker Lawrence Taylor in 1986 and Viking’s defensive tackle Alan Page in 1971. That’s it.
