The Houston Astros have brought back short stop Jed Lowrie on a 3-year deal the club announced on Monday.
The switch-hitting free agent signed a deal through the 2017 season with a club option for 2018, Astros GM Jeff Luhnow announced. Lowrie returns to Houston after being the everyday shortstop in 2012 for the Astros, before heading to the Oakland A’s for 2013-14.
