Gil Kuta, CBS Sports in Baltimore, joined The Fred & Ted Show to discuss the up coming Texans versus Ravens game this Sunday. He talked about the likelihood that Ed Reed and Ray Rice would play in this week’s game where the rule should be if they aren’t ready to go then they shouldn’t play. He commented on the transition in leadership in the Baltimore defense after losing several of their leaders last year. Kuta said that the Ravens can only win by shutting J.J. Watt down, confusing Matt Schaub and having an effective offense.
Solomon Wilcots joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about the Houston Texans. He talked about how in the NFL, teams should never assume a team they are playing will be easy as the Texans found out these last two games. Wilcots talked about how Wade Philips and the Texans are trying to prepare themselves to play the Patriots down the road. He said that Schaub is answering the critics strongly in the way he pushed through with these game winning drives in the first games of the season. He also touched on how Kubiak making these new plays is a sign of his evolution as a coach.
Theresa Walker of Associated Press joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about this week’s Texans and Titans match up this Sunday. She talked about how Jake Locker has performed and how she expects he will moving forward. She looked at key players who will make a difference in this match. Hall of Fame trainer Ronnie Shields joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about boxing. He gave his take on who will win in the Mayweather vs Canelo fight coming up on Saturday. He doesn’t think it’s very likely that Canelo will pull a win. Shields says the only way Canelo will win is if he comes on strong right away and puts Mayweather off right away. Canelo needs to win the early rounds because Mayweather never loses those. He also talked about other up coming fights.
Former Texans player Moran Norris joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about the Texans. He talked about the Texans big come back play last night. Norris complimented the Texans run game and key players including Greg Jones and Owen Daniels. He contended that Arian Foster just got upset because he is a competitor and wanted to play for his team. He talked about an event his Moran Norris Foundation is doing this weekend.
Spiritual advisor Dr. Anna joined The Fred & Ted Show to make some predictions. She said the questions she gets from people are almost always about love or finances. She predicted the Texans will make it all the way to the Super Bowl. Her intuition says Matt Schaub has what it takes to take the Texans all the way. She gave Ted some advice on his love life and told Fred he needs to get that chip off his shoulder to move forward in life.
Hank Bauer, color analyst for the Chargers, joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about the Chargers playing the Texans on Monday. He said not to count the Chargers out of the game because you never know what will happen. The match up to watch for in the game definitely comes down to Watt versus Fluker on the field. Bauer talked about how the offense’s goal is going to be to run the football and get it down the field. He thinks the Chargers can only make the playoffs if they keep all their starters healthy.
Ryan Wilson, CBSsports.com, joined The Fred & Ted Show to discuss his thoughts on various teams in the AFC division. Wilson shared his view on how he thought teams like the Bengals, the Chiefs, and the Eagles will do this season. He explained why he thinks the Eagles will either do really well this season or be a complete bust. Wilson contends that though some of his cohorts have predicted the Texans won’t make it to the playoffs, he thinks they will win them. He says if the Patriots falter this season, it gives the Texans all the better odds to go all the way.
Play by play guy for the Saints Jim Henderson joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about what fans can expect in this week’s match up between the Texans and the Saints.
