The Houston Rockets big off season free agent signing, Dwight Howard, rested a sore foot at practice Tuesday after getting precautionary x-rays on that foot. The X-rays came back negative and Howard doesn’t think it will be an issue.
After practice Tuesday, Howard told reporters the team just wanted to give the foot some rest.
Jeremy Lin will return to the Rockets’ lineup Friday night after missing the last two games with a chest contusion. The point guard, who injured his chest in Game 2, will not be a starter but playing off the bench.
Matt Leinart was the luckiest back-up quarterback in the NFL two weeks ago when Matt Schaub went down for the season.
Brett Favre may have caught a lot of flack for his flip flopping between retiring and un-retiring. However, he also has apparently permanently engraved his name on the list of quarterbacks that armchair GMs will go to immediately when there is an injured quarterback.
Quarterback Matt Schaub may be lost for the season, according to some sources, though Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak did not confirm that at his press conference or on the J&R show on SportsRadio 610.
Texans sideline reporter Rich Lord reports that Schaub left the Texans/Bucs game with a walking boot on his right foot. Mobile device users may click here to listen to the audio.
