First up on the B-Straw and Pauly G Show Road Trip was Zach Berman, Philadelphia Enquirer, about Chip Kelly’s interest in Johnny Manziel as well as the DeSean Jackson situation. Then they got back on the road to San Antonio to talk to Ari Tempkin, 1250 ESPN, about the Spurs and Mavericks series. Tempkin discussed the fact that the Spurs really need to get their defense back in the game to reclaim their series.
Tonight The B-Straw and Pauly G Show took a Road Trip to Philadelphia and Memphis. First in Philadelphia they talked to Brian Haddad, WIP, to talk about the Eagles dropping DeSean Jackson due to alleged gang connections. Haddad doesn’t think he’ll be out of work long and hated to see him leave the team, but says the team must have felt strong about his off field issues to let him loose. Then they journeyed to Memphis to talk to David Jablonski, Dayton Daily News, to talk about Dayton’s Cinderella story so far. Jablonski says the odds may be against Dayton but stranger upsets have happened before.

A season of transition brought a new coach with a breath of fresh air and a new identity as a team. There were adjustments along the way as Chip Kelly adjusted to life as an NFL coach after serving an entire career at the college level, but his players bought in to the mentality Kelly introduced to them and fought their way to an NFC East division title few saw coming before the season started.
A last-second field goal by Shayne Graham brought an end to the first season of the Chip Kelly era as the Saints left Philadelphia with a 26-24 victory in the NFC Wild Card playoff. The time for season-long evaluations will come over the coming week, but for now let’s take a quick look at how the Eagles performed in this game.
