He said that the only thing that is certain is that nothing is certain in these pre-draft weeks where there are so many rumors swirling around. Silva isn’t sure that Clowney is a sure thing and he doesn’t think the Texans will take him unless they are sure about him.
Brien and Paul pack for a chance of snow as they head up to New York for their first guest on tonight’s road trip. Joining the show from New York City is John Jastremski from “JJ After Dark” on WFAN. John talks about how much former Titan running back Chris Johnson will help the Jets’ struggling offense. John believes that Johnson can still produce and will join the bundle of offensive weapons that were signed by the Jets in this past off-season. Boston Herald columnist and Host WEEI host Chris Vilanni joins the guys to talk about the one year anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombing. What was supposed to be a day of recollection and paying respect, turned out to be a panic filled evening in Boston after two unattended backpacks were fount near the marathon finish line. A man, suspected of being mentally ill has been apprehended by Boston police and is in custody.
Dino Babers, the head football coach of Bowling Green University joins B-Straw and Pauly G to talk about the capabilities of his former Eastern Illinois University quarterback, Jimmy Garappolo. Coach Babers states that Garappolo has the fastest release he has ever seen and was extremely accurate during his tenure at Eastern Illinois. Garappolo has exemplified the physical and mental attributes that are sought by NFL teams, but his career of playing against FCS opponents has scouts questioning the level of success at the highest level.
B-Straw and Pauly G embark on a cross-country trip to San Francisco and Louisville. On their first stop in San Fran, they are joined by John Dickinson from KGMZ 95.7 “The Game”. Dickinson gives an update on 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith’s latest incident. The 24 year-old was taken into custody by LAX airport police, after he became belligerent and made a comment to a TSA officer that he had a bomb when he was selected for a secondary screening. The 49ers have been plagued with off-field issues in the past month. Steve Andress from WDRB-TV Louisville, joins the guys next to talk about Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater’s “shaky” private workouts. The poor feedback his workouts are receiving from NFL experts could prove costly to his draft status.
