Tonight the B-Straw & Pauly G Show Road Trip traveled to Dallas and Buffalo. First they drove up to Dallas to talk to Mike Fisher, 105.3 The Fan about the Orlando Scandrick four game suspension for drug use. He also discussed some of the other player issues with the Cowboys recently. Fisher discussed the fact that the Cowboys announced that Tony Romo was ready for camp when he wasn’t caused a stir with fans. Then they flew over to Buffalo to talk to Dave Buchannan, WGR, about the Tony Stewart accident. He says it is impossible to know what Tony Stewart saw due to limited visibility in his vehicle so we may never know but he doesn’t think he intended to hit Kevin Ward Jr with his race car. Buchannan thinks that the accident could have been a split second decision gone wrong.
R. J. Choppy, 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, joined The B-Straw & Pauly G Show Road Trip to discuss Mavs in free agency. He talked about how Dirk Nowitzki will likely take a pay cut to stay with the Mavs as they make a move at Carmelo Anthony. Choppy said they are also pursuing guys like Luol Deng. He briefly discussed the Cowboys signing Rolando McClain. He also said the Cowboys will always be run the way Jerry Jones wants it to be as long as Jerry Jones is around. Then Mark Grote 670 The Score in Chicago came on to discuss Carmelo Anthony’s visit to the Bulls. He said getting Carmelo Anthony would make the Bulls good enough to beat the Heat if Derrick Rose is healthy.
USA Today’s Nate Davis joined The B-Straw & Pauly G Show to discuss an article he wrote on NFL predictions for this season. He told the guys why he thinks the Texans can win nine games this coming season which included that he likes Coach O’Brien. Davis says that the Texans pre-season problems don’t have to mean they won’t do well this time around. He also gave more insight into how he thinks other teams around the league will fare this time around. He thinks that the Colts will come out on top in the AFC South. He also sees the Cowboys doing very poorly this season.
Paul and Brien pack for a road trip up I-45 to Dallas before heading out to Portland. In Dallas they are joined by R.J. Choppy from 105.3 “The Fan”, who goes on to talk about the upcoming Cowboys vs. Texans game on October 5th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. Choppy believes that the game is not much of a heated because rivalry the two teams are not in the same conference. B-Straw and Pauly G go on to ask R.J. about the expectations Cowboys fans have for the upcoming season and how likely the Mavericks will overcome the Spurs in the first round of NBA playoffs.
