You’ve seen the sardonic messages splashed all over social media. Everyone is calling LeBron James the best GM in the NBA, based largely on his ability to wrench Kevin Love from Minnesota, which instantly imbues the Cavaliers with three All-Stars.
LZ Granderson, ESPN magazine, joined Matt Hammond and Matt Murphy filling in for The B-Straw & Pauly G Show. Granderson came on to discuss the most recent developments with the Houston Rockets. He claims the Rockets are worse off than they were a year ago because he feels Ariza is a step down from Parsons. He discussed James Harden’s recent comments about his teammates being role players. Granderson also weighed in on Ray Rice’s suspension saying that domestic violence has always been treated more lightly than other offenses.
Adam Wexler joined Patrick Creighton and Cody Stoots to talk about the Rockets young talent and what the NBA team may expect this upcoming season.
T. D. Williams, Medium.com, joined MaD Radio to discuss an article he wrote on Daryl Morey. Williams explained why he has been critical of Morey because he hasn’t taken Houston “to the promised land” yet. He said he isn’t against the use of analytics in basketball, but says they have to be used careful. He said that Morey has created what he calls a “treadmill team” and doesn’t agree with his decision to not bring Chandler Parsons back. Williams said that he hasn’t felt Houston has really contended yet as they should have. He doesn’t think Morey is a terrible GM and he thinks the story has been over reported.
Friend of the show Bomani Jones joined the show to talk about Daryl Morey.
