Former NBA player Damon Jones joined The Fred & Ted Show to discuss the Rockets season so far. He isn’t surprised Harden and Howard have done so well together so far. Jones talked about how the first loss the Rockets have had so far shows what they need to work on moving forward with the season. He talked about the defense and how Harden needs to work on the defensive side of his game. Moving forward, Jones says the Rockets still have some work to do moving forward.
ESPN’s Mike Wells joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about the Texans and Colts game Sunday. He talked about the vulnerability of the team without Reggie Wayne, but says he doesn’t think it’ll be as bad as people are thinking. Wells talked about what makes Andrew Luck a special player and good quarterback. He also discussed Pagano’s coaching style. Wells talked about how little the Colts know about Keenum but says they were impressed with his performance against the Chiefs.

He attested to Keenum’s positive attitude and maturity and the fact that that has helped him through thus far. He said that Keenum has a very hard game and that he knows he will put pressure on himself to play well and take advantage of this chance.
Authors Mark Fainaru-Wada and Steve Fainaru joined The Fred & Ted Show to discuss their new book “League of Denial” about concussions in the NFL. They talked about what brought the issue to the forefront was largely the suicide of Junior Seau. They discussed the tipping point that lead the league to take more preventative measures for concussions. They also touched on their disappointment that ESPN dropped out after first partnering with them. They said they love the game and just want to see the players better protected.
