During the attack on Pearl Harbor, some 2,402 sailors, soldiers, airmen, and civilians were  killed, and another 1,247 were wounded.

According to data from  the National World War II Museum, only about 1.5 million of the 16 million soldiers who served in World War II are still alive. Nearly 700 of them  are dying per day.
