What I do for 610: I am a bit of a Jack-of-all-Trades here at SportsRadio 610. I spend most of my time as a sports reporter going to practices and games to get interviews for the listener’s pleasure. I also produce several show’s during the night at SR610.
Birthday: Jan. 22, 1985
Hometown: Pearland, Texas
College: University of Houston- Go Coogs!
High school: Pearland High School
How long at SportsRadio 610: 1 year
How long in radio business: 1 year
Coolest person at SR610: You are reading his Bio…
What I love about Houston: It’s not Dallas.
Favorite four-letter word: Apple. DAMN, that’s five letters.
Favorite players: My favorite interview so far would have to be the “Ninja Assassin” himself - Texans’ Defensive End Antonio Smith. You never know where a conversation with him will lead…
Experience: While this is my first job in radio, this certainly isn’t my first foray into the sports world. I’ve spent nearly all of my life either following sports or playing sports. That is why I can walk up to any pro athlete and ask him why he made that bone-head play.
Teams followed: Texans, Rockets, Astros, and UH Football
Signature phrase: Are you going to finish that?
Favorite sports experiences:
1 – Going to the 2011 season opener for the Houston Texans. Not only was that my first regular season NFL game to cover as a professional, it was the ten year anniversary of the September 11th attacks. The tribute was moving, the fans were awesome, and the Texans stomped the Colts 34-7.
2 - Running out on to the turf of the Astrodome for the 5A Regional Championship game. The crowd was so big that they had to open up the upper deck for seating. Pearland fans showed up big for that game.
3 – Sitting courtside for a Lakers/Rockets game. Lakers led the game until the last two minutes, when the Rockets came alive an pulled ahead by three. It was the second sellout of the year, and the fans were nuts.
Sports played: Football, Basketball and Track & Field – Pearland High School, Football – Graceland University
More: Working at this station is a dream come true. I get paid to go to Rockets, Texans and Astros practices and games. Then I get to talk about it with friends, family and strangers.
Thanks for checking out my bio! Follow me on twitter for the latest Houston sports news, and “like” my Facebook page when you get a chance. Hit me up on twitter if you have a specific question that you want answered, and I’ll do my best to get the answer back to you!
