The Cavs struggled mightily in their 112-108 victory over the 76ers on Sunday, missing their first 14 shots of the game. Kevin Love has been terrific the past three games, producing 92 points on 26-of-47 shooting. Forward Channing Frye is not currently with the team due to the passing of his father.
3 San Antonio Spurs San Antonio Spurs 14-3

The Spurs have the second-longest active winning streak streak in the league with nine straight wins. San Antonio is 10-0 on the road, becoming the fifth team in NBA history to start a season with 10 consecutive road wins. The Spurs are 6-0 against Eastern Conference, and 7-0 when Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge, Pau Gasol, Danny Green and Tony Parker start the game.
4 Los Angeles Clippers Los Angeles Clippers 14-4

The Clippers are on their first two-game skid this year, falling on the road to the Pacers and Pistons. The 70 points the Clips were held to by the Pacers was a season low, and was just the fifth time the league’s third- highest scoring team failed to reach the century mark. It was also the first time the Clippers haven’t scored 80 points under coach Doc Rivers. Los Angeles has four contests remaining on a season-high six-game road trip.
5 Houston Rockets Houston Rockets 11-6

The Rockets tallied a season-high 130 points against the Blazers on Sunday, giving them 256 points in their two games against Portland this year. James Harden produced his seventh straight double-double Sunday, recording 38 points and 10 assists. Houston attempted an NBA-record 50 three-pointers, making 21, in their victory over Sacramento on Friday.
6 Chicago Bulls Chicago Bulls 10-6

The Bulls have split their last four games, but finished their annual circus roadtrip with a 4-2 record. Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade are a major reason why the Bulls are among the biggest surprises of the season, combining for 44.7 points a game. Butler, who is averaging nearly five points more than last season, has scored 20 or more points in 10 straight games.
7 Memphis Grizzlies Memphis Grizzlies 11-8

The Grizzlies are 7-1 in their last eight games. Marc Gasol set his season high in points twice this week, compiling 27 points on Wednesday against the 76ers and then 28 on Saturday against the Heat. Gasol, who has scored in double-figures in 13 of 16 games, is shooting a career-low 43.1 percent from the field, though he is draining a career-high 1.4 three-pointers a game. Memphis is in the midst of 10 games in a 16-day stretch.
8 Toronto Raptors Toronto Raptors 10-6

The Raptors finished their longest roadtrip of the season with a 3-2 record following their win over Milwaukee on Friday. DeMar DeRozan, the No. 3 scorer in the league, has scored 25 or more points in 13 of 16 games. DeRozan also has doled out 8 assists in eight straight games. The Raps begin a six-game home stand on Monday against the 76ers.
9 Boston Celtics Boston Celtics 9-7

The Celtics had their three-game winning streak snapped by the Spurs on Friday. The C’s are 3-4 against teams with a .500 or better record. Boston is the 16th best free throw shooting team, though they are only getting to charity stripe 20.4 times a game, which ranks 25th in the league.
10 Charlotte Hornets Charlotte Hornets 9-7

Jeremy Lamb helped the Hornets snap a four-game losing streak against the Knicks on Saturday. He produced 18 points along with 17 rebounds, becoming the sixth player listed at 6-foot-5 or shorter to grab 17 caroms in the past 10 seasons. The Hornets are 8-5 in games that Kemba Walker has scored at least 20 points. Forward Marvin Williams is expected to miss a week with a bone bruise.
11 Oklahoma City Thunder Oklahoma City Thunder 10-8

The Thunder closed the week with two straight wins to finish 2-2. Russell Westbrook picked up his league-high seventh triple-double of the season on Saturday and his 44th of his career, tying LeBron James for sixth all-time. Reserve guard Anthony Morrow has made an impact the past two games, compiling 31 points on 12-of-20 shooting from the field.
12 Indiana Pacers Indiana Pacers 9-9
The Pacers are currently on their second winning streak of the season. Eight of Indiana’s wins have occurred at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, where they are 8-4. Glenn Robinson III is averaging 15.3 points and 7.0 rebounds in the four games he has started this season.
13 Los Angeles Lakers Los Angeles Lakers 9-9

The Lakers finished a six-game stretch with a 2-4 record following a victory over the Hawks on Sunday. Los Angeles defeated OKC 111-109 for their first close game win of the season. The Lakers have the highest scoring bench this season. Point guard D’Angelo Russell (sore left knee) has missed the last four games while forward Julius Randle (hip pointer) has missed three in a row.
14 New York Knicks New York Knicks 8-8

The Knicks had their three game-winning streak snapped against Charlotte on Saturday. New York gave up a season-high 38 points in the first quarter of that 107-102 loss, marking the fifth time the Knicks have surrendered at least 30 points to open a game. The Knicks are 1-6 on the road this year.
15 Utah Jazz Utah Jazz 9-8

The Jazz have not won more than two straight games this season. Utah held Atlanta to a season-low 68 points in their victory on Saturday. Point guard George Hill, who leads the team with 20.9 points a game, returned to the court this week, putting up 22 and 23 points in two games.

The Hawks are 1-5 in their last six games. Atlanta, 4-5 away from home, is 1-2 on its current five-game road trip. Kris Humphries shattered a backboard while dunking during practice Saturday morning.

The Blazers are 2-6 in their last eight games, with five of those losses by double digits. Portland has reached the century mark 17 times this season. They have set a franchise record with 209 three-pointers through the first 19 games.

The Pistons went 2-2 for the week, including a big home win over the Los Angeles Clippers. That win snapped an 11-game losing streak to them, and was just the team’s third victory against a team with a non-losing record in 11 games this season. All eight of the Pistons’ victories have been by double-figures; they are 0-3 in close games (3 points or fewer).
19 Milwaukee Bucks Milwaukee Bucks 7-8

The Bucks went 2-1 for the week with both wins coming against Orlando. Wing Giannis Antetokounmpo has become an excellent rim protector, blocking 2.1 shots a game and holding opponents to 52.1 percent shooting six feet and in. Jabari Parker has become a legitimate three-point threat, knocking down 1.1 triples a game while shooting 36.4 percent from beyond the arc overall.
20 Sacramento Kings Sacramento Kings 7-10

The Kings have won three of four, with victories over the Raptors and Thunder. DeMarcus Cousins has improved his three-point shooting this year, helping his scoring efficiency. Cousins has scored 30 points in four of the last six games. Sacramento won their second game of the season when Cousins has topped the 30-point mark on Sunday.
21 Denver Nuggets Denver Nuggets 7-10

The Nuggets ended a two-game losing streak with a victory over Phoenix on Sunday, as Wilson Chandler led the way with 25 points and Jameer Nelson had 21. The Nuggets have the most close losses in the league with five. Danilo Gallinari has missed three straight games with right thigh soreness.
22 Washington Wizards Washington Wizards 5-10

The Wizards have won three of four. Markieff Morris got ejected for the first time this season in the loss to the Spurs on Saturday after picking up two technicals; he now has three technical fouls on the season. Otto Porter Jr. is having the best season of his four-year career, averaging 14.1 points and 8.1 caroms a game.
23 Orlando Magic Orlando Magic 6-11

The Magic went 0-4 during the week, meaning they have gone winless in two of the first five weeks. Orlando, the second-lowest scoring team (92.1), has not scored 100 points in seven straight contests. The Magic are the only team that has yet to register a double-figure victory.

The Timberwolves have lost four of five. Four of their last six losses have been by double-figures, evening their record at 5-5 in 10-point games. Minnesota fell to 1-7 against teams with a .500 or better record with their 115-102 loss to Golden State.

The Pelicans are 6-4 since opening the season with eight consecutive losses. Anthony Davis has scored 30 or more points in five of the past six games, and 12 times overall. Forward Dante Cunningham fractured his right fibula against Minnesota on Wednesday.

The Heat have lost three of four. Center Hassan Whiteside is averaging a double-double for a third straight season (16.8 points, 14.9 rebounds). Whiteside leads the league in rebounds and is second in blocked shots (2.5).
27 Philadelphia 76ers Philadelphia 76ers 4-12

The 76ers have lost three in a row at home, dropping their record to 4-7 at the Wells Fargo Center. Joel Embiid led seven Sixers in double-figures against the Cavs Sunday with his fifth 20-point game of the season. Embiid has swatted away three shots in each of his last three games, and averages 2.4 blocks a game.
28 Brooklyn Nets Brooklyn Nets 4-12

The Nets own the league’s longest current losing streak (seven). Brooklyn has drained 10 or more three-pointers in 10 straight games. Brooklyn has the worst point differential in the NBA (- 9.1).

The Suns went 1-3 for the week. Guard Eric Bledsoe has strung together five outstanding performances, contributing 26.0 points, 6.6 assists and 7.0 rebounds. Phoenix, which ranks 27th in scoring defense (111.7), has held three of its last six opponents to under 100 points.
30 Dallas Mavericks Dallas Mavericks 3-13
The Mavs earned their first win in nine games with a 91-81 win over the Pelicans on Sunday. Harrison Barnes and Wesley Matthews combined for 44 points. Reserve guard Justin Anderson had his best game as a pro Sunday, compiling 14 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists while making 4 of 7 shots in 23 minutes of action. Dallas, 1-9 away from home, has the most road losses in the league.
