super bowl countdown 21 e1455145738105

The Host Committee opened up the application process for volunteers to serve in the days leading up to Super Bowl LI in 2017. There will be a need for up to 10,000 volunteers to man all the airports, locations and venues throughout the city that will be used by visitors coming to Houston for the festivities in the days leading up to Super Bowl LI.

Ideal candidates will be those that share a passion for football, the city of Houston and the region, and have plenty of southern hospitality to welcome visitors. Volunteers will be required to work at least three shifts during the 10-day period leading up to Super Bowl LI. Shifts vary in length from 6-8 hours for staff volunteers and 8-10 hours for volunteer supervisors.

Volunteers will go through a three stage process once they fill out and turn in their applications. There will be a face to face interview, required training sessions and a background security check that will all have to be completed before a volunteer is sent into a public setting.
