The focus has been largely on the first pick of the draft for the Texans. Time for a look at a second round scenario where you will see new names and some surprises.
The guys packed their golf clubs on this road trip in anticipation of their final stop at The Masters in Augusta, Georgia. They set-off heading up I-45 to Dallas, where they are joined by R.J. Choppy from 105.7 “The Fan”. Choppy analyzes the controversial statements made by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones about the popularity of his team. He goes on to talk about the possibility of the Cowboys drafting Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel. B-Straw and Pauly G leave Dallas and head out to The Masters with Seth Harp from 102.1 “HarpOnSports”. Harp states that if the perfect weather in Augusta stays around, this year’s Masters could be the most crisp tournament in history. He also expresses his desire to see Phil Mickelson still in contention on Sunday, due to the foreseeable drop in television ratings, if he isn’t.

B-Straw and Pauly G gas up the car and rip open the sunflower seeds for another road trip. On this trip, the guys cruise west to Fresno, California before finishing the trip in Pittsburgh. Joining the hosts on their first stop is B.J. Antiola from the Fresno Bee, who reports on quarterback Derrek Carr’s pro day. According to Antiola, Carr’s numerous broken school records do not overcome the inconsistencies he has shown on game film, which may hurt his draft status. On their final stop of the trip, the guys are joined by KDKA Pittsburg’s Pat Bostick. Pat is the color commentator of Pittsburgh Panthers football and has a clear idea of how quarterback Tom Savage will fit into the NFL. Bostick states that Savage is a tough quarterback that makes throws under duress; a skill every quarterback must possess at the NFL level.

Mettenberger suffered a torn ACL during the 2013 season and according to Tommy, he still has not fully recovered from surgery. Dan Mathews from Football.com joins the boys on their last stop in Athens to talk about Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray and the status of his recovery, after suffering the same injury as Mettenberger last season. Dan says Murray is having a rapid recovery and will be able to fully participate in his pro-day next week.
Buffalo Bulls Head Coach Jeff Quinn knows J.J. Watt really well. He also coached Khalil Mack at Buffalo. Quinn sees the similarities which could be something special for the Texans.
