Evan Rosenblum of TMZ Sports joined Paul Gallant and Will Grubb to discuss the news that Arian Foster allegedly fathered a child with a woman other than his wife. He discussed the suit she is filing against him for emotional grievances and child support. Rosenblum gave his opinion on the validity of her claims and what this means for Foster moving forward.
Hank Bauer, color man for the Chargers, joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about happenings in the NFL. Bauer insists that Houston has a good foundation and though they need a good QB they aren’t far off from where they need to be. He talked about the system with Philip Rivers and how that worked over all. Bauer also talked about two important things Bill O’Brien needs to do as new Head Coach for the Texans. He took a look at the playoff games coming up and who will do well.
Former NFL player Dat Nguyen joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about all things football. He talked about Johnny Manziel becoming eligible for the draft. Nguyen insists Manziel works as hard as he parties and will take to the NFL naturally. He also gave his take on the disappointing turn out of the Dallas Cowboys season falling just short of the playoffs with Tony Romo. Nguyen looked at the BCS Bowl game from last night and which players to watch from that.
Ryan Wilson, CBSsports.com, joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about things that are coach killers. He took a look at coaches around the NFL and how certain developments have led to downfalls in their coaching careers. Wilson talked about the mess with RG3 and the Redskins in how they have handled things. He also talked about how Peyton Manning under pressure in this weekend’s game. Wilson thought the Texans did well to move quickly and make big changes after this awful season.
Mike Felger, WBZ-FM Sports Hub in Boston, joined The Fred & Ted Show to discuss his outlook on new Texans Head Coach Bill O’Brien. He addressed O’Brien’s experience level with the Patriots and Penn State. Felger also commented on the up coming NFL playoff games and what he thinks their outcomes will be. He also looked at whether or not the Patriots will go all the way or not.
NFL Veteran Troy Brown joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about his experiences in the NFL. Brown talked about his time spent with Bill O’Brien the new Texans Head Coach. He gave insight to the situation where O’Brien got into it with Tom Brady while he was involved with the Patriots and gave a look into the type of guy that O’Brien is. Brown credits O’Brien with a great attention to detail and smaller details than other coaches. He also says changing the current Texans mentality may be O’Brien’s biggest challenge in inheriting the team.
Mike Evans, 104.3 The Fan in Denver, joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about the Broncos facing the Texans this Sunday. He discussed the struggles the Broncos and Peyton Manning have been facing. Evans talked about how the Broncos offense has really been carrying the defense and probably will have to continue to do so.
ESPN’s Mike Wells joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about the Colts facing the Texans this Sunday. He discussed the large impact Reggie Wayne’s absence from the field has made to the Colts this season. Wells commented on the open Texans head coach position and said he didn’t see the Colt’s Offensive Coordinator becoming a head coach here. His thoughts on who will win out in this game.
Kerry Byrne, Cold Hard Football Facts, joined The Fred & Ted Show to discuss why he names the Texans as the dumbest team in football. He discussed how coaching impacts how smart or dumb a team is rated. Byrne speculated who might step up as the next head coach for the Texans. On the bright side Byrne says the Texans have the hottest cheerleaders.
Corey Chavous, draftnasty.com, joined The Fred & Ted Show to talk about the Texans possibly getting a first round draft pick. He talked about possible outlooks for guys like Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater, and more. He talked about whether the Texans should go for a quarterback or look to fill some other need for the team. Chavous also talked a bit about the Texans situation with the firing of Kubiak and how to move forward with picking a new head coach.
