Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans left tackle Duane Brown has skipped out on the first two days of the team’s Official Team Activities (OTAs), SportsRadio 610’s John McClain is reporting.

Brown wants a new deal, but OTAs are not mandatory so this is not a holdout.

When head coach Bill O’Brien was asked about it on Tuesday, he said there was “nothing” he could say about it.

Brown has two years remaining on a six-year, $53.4 million contract and has nonguaranteed base salaries of $9.65 million and $9.75 million in 2017 and 2018.
