Dynamo Stay Unbeaten At Home With 2-1 Win Over Vancouver

HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – Erick Torres penalty kick goal in the 68th minute was the game winner as the Houston Dynamo slid past the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1 Friday night at BBVA Compass Stadium. The Dynamo stayed unbeaten at home this season improving their record to 6-0-1 on the home pitch.

Houston began the scoring in the 15th minute as Romell Quioto found his Honduran countryman Alberth Elis with a cross that ended up in the back of the net on a header for Elis’ fifth goal of the season.

 

Vancouver scored in the 85th minute as Brek Shea found the net off a Christian Bolanos free kick. Dynamo keeper Joe Willis was a few minute away from his third straight clean sheet at home.

The Dynamo hit the road for three straight matches with the first coming Wednesday against Philadelphia.
